Rouses Red Barrel Food Drive   

Look for specially marked pre-packed bags at participating Rouses stores to donate to Bay Area Food Bank. Bags costs $5 and can be purchased at the register and placed into our red barrels for donation.

Fresh Produce to Families in Need 

Bay Area Food Bank has teamed up with the Mobile Community Action Agency to distribute free, fresh produce in Mobile neighborhoods that have low access to healthy foods. Thanks to a grant from the J.L. Bedsole Foundation, Bay Area Food Bank has the resources needed to administer produce distributions in Mobile’s food deserts, which defined by the USDA, are census tracts where a significant percentage of the population is low-income and has low-access to supermarkets carrying fresh produce. The goal is to distribute up to 50,000 pounds of produce to families in need over the next six months. Produce will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the following dates and locations:
